A classical, handcrafted orthodox prayer cross with guilloche ("rough") motif background that highlights the miniaturized crucifix at the center and polished bail and edges. The size of this cross makes it most suitable for children.
Inscriptions in Church Slavonic language praising Our Heavenly Father and Christianity: ЦС (King of Glory) and IC XC (Jesus Christ). The reverse of the cross features prayers "Да воскреснет Бог..." ("Let God arise...")* and "С нами Бог, разумейте языцы и покаряйтеся, яко с нами Бог" read for protection from demonic attacks.
*Да воскреснет Бог, и расточатся врази Его, и да бежат от лица Его ненавидящии Его. Яко исчезает дым, да исчезнут; яко тает воск от лица огня, тако да погибнут беси от лица любящих Бога и знаменующихся крестным знамением, и в веселии глаголющих: радуйся, Пречестный и Животворящий Кресте Господень, прогоняяй бесы силою на тебе пропятаго Господа нашего Иисуса Христа, во ад сшедшаго и поправшаго силу диаволю, и даровавшаго нам тебе Крест Свой Честный на прогнание всякаго супостата. Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered; and let those who hate Him flee from His face. As smoke vanishes, let them vanish; and as wax melts from the presence of fire, so let the demons perish from the presence of those who love God and who sign themselves with the Sign of the Cross and say with gladness: Hail, most precious and life-giving Cross of the Lord, for Thou drivest away the demons by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ Who was crucified on thee, went down to hell and trampled on the power of the devil, and gave us thee, His honorable Cross, for driving away all enemies. O most precious and life-giving Cross of the Lord, help me with our holy Lady, the Virgin Theotokos, and with all the Saints throughout the ages. Amen.
