This Orthodox cross crucifix, an Eastern cross with the corpus (Body of Christ), featuring inscriptions in Church Slavonic language about Christ and Christianity: IC XC (Іисусъ Христосъ-Jesus Christ), the acronym IHЦI (INRI) that reflects the historical background of the crucifixion of Christ and represents plate with inscription "Iēsus Nazarēnus, Rēx Iūdaeōrum" (Russian: "Іисус Назарянинъ, Царь Іудейскій", English: "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews") ordered by the procurator of Judea Pontius Pilate.
