Russian orthodox cross with medieval flavour (St. Olga cross), in openwork, which is an iconic technique in Russian religious jewelry. The cross is decorated with a meaningful symbols and inscriptions in Church Slavonic language praising the Christ and Christianity: stylized circle behind the cross represents the crown of thorns that the Roman legionnaires placed on the head of Jesus and symbolizes Eternal Life, skull at the base of the Cross represents the ashes of Adam, whose sins were washed away with blood of Christ on Golgotha, ЦС (Царь Славы-The King of Glory), IC XC (Іисусъ Христосъ-Jesus Christ), and 'Спаси и сохрани' (Protect and save me, oh my God) on the reverse side.
