This Russian Orthodox cross is a smaller replica of our T13006302 cross. An openwork part of the cross is made of warm rose gold, and the body of The Lord is made of contrasting white gold. This body cross embraces numerous symbols from the Holy Scriptures, such as the acronym 'ЦС' stands for 'Царь Славы' (Russian for 'The King of Glory'), the plate above the head of Jesus with the inscription 'INЦИ'/'INRI' ('Іисусъ Назарянинъ, Царь Іудейскій'/'Iēsus Nazarēnus, Rēx Iūdaeōrum') that reflects the historical background of the crucifixion of Christ ordered by the procurator of Judea Pontius Pilate, the acronym 'IC XC' ('Іисусъ Христосъ'- Russian for 'Jesus Christ'). A symbolically rendered Skull at the base of the Cross represents the ashes of Adam, the First Man and the progenitor of the Human Race, whose sins were washed away with the blood of Christ on Golgotha. The reverse of the cross with inscription 'Спаси и Сохрани' (Russian for 'Protect and Save [me, oh my God]') and a floral ornament is both beautiful and highly significant. A perfect body cross for young and young at heart ladies.
