The composition of this gold cross is typical for Orthodox crosses made in the central provinces of Russia. The main crossbars are crowned by a trefoil that symbolizes the Holy Trinity. The inscriptions on the cross praise the Lord and the Christianity. Reverse of the cross bears words 'Спаси и Сохрани' (Russian for 'Protect and Save [me, oh my God]') classical for Russian and Ukrainian Orthodox crosses.
