This Orthodox cross inspired by Byzantine epoch is typical for Christian Deisis (Деисус) composition with the Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist as intercessors on either side of Christ. Due to exquisite details and art design this body cross is more than a religious symbol but also a beautiful piece of jewelry. The cross is the result of more than 7 (seven) days and 9 (nine) steps of craftsmanship. A meaningful symbols and inscriptions in Church Slavonic language praise the Lord and the Christianity: Црь Слвы (The King of Glory), МР ОУ (Virgin Mary - Mother of God), ПРТ (John the Baptist). To the viewer's left is the Holy Lance, with which Jesus was wounded in his side, and to the right, a pole (cane) topped by a vinegared hyssop sponge used to torture Christ. The reverse of the cross features prayer: 'Господи, Иисусе Христе, Сыне Божий, помилуй мя, грешнаго'. This cross may be worn by a woman as well as by a man.
