Due to the design this body cross is called 'Deesis'. The Deesis cross features Crucifix flanked by the tiny Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist facing towards Christ with their hands raised in supplication on behalf of humanity.

The front of the cross bears a soaring Dove that symbolizes the Holy Spirit, and the inscriptions in Church Slavonic language: IHЦI-means 'Іисусъ Назарянинъ, Царь Іудейскій' ('Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews'), MP OY-means 'Богоматерь' ('Virgin Mary, Mother of God'), IC XC-means Iисусъ Христосъ (‘Jesus Christ’), IW ПР-means 'Iоаннъ Предтеча/Креститель' ('St. John the Baptist'), and 'NИКА' (derivative of the Greek verb 'nikē'-'conquest'). This word is reminiscent of the Appearance of the Cross with the inscription 'In this sign thou shalt conquer' before the Emperor Constantine to signify the triumph of Chris over death and hell. Stylized Skull at the base of the cross symbolizes the ashes of Adam, the First Man, and the Progenitor of the Human Race. According to a legend, the skull at the base of the Cross is that of Adam and the blood shed by Christ over it had cleansed the humankind of sin and brought it salvation.

The psalm 'Величай, душе моя, пречестный Крест Господень' (Russian for 'Glorify, my soul, pious Cross of the Lord') on the reverse of the cross protects from demonic attacks and negative energy. Below the psalm, stylized lance denotes lance of the Roman legionnaire that pierced the body of crucified Christ and stylized cane topped by a vinegared hyssop sponge denotes weapon used to torture Christ.

Due to its size and design this body cross will make a perfect statement of faith for him or for her.
